Customers sometimes look to us as a God to resurrect their once pristine photo back to life. Photos of family and friends are precious memories and hold a very high sentimental value. With that in mind we are dealing not only with trying to create miracles but with so many emotions as well. Our talent and love for what we do as well as our perfectionist type personalities enables us many times to breath life back into a frozen moment in time. Not too long ago a customer provided us with a photo of herself and her parents which was taken in 1938. It was the only photo she held in her possession due to a fire in which she lost everything years ago. The photo was very small roughly 4x4, it was faded, had tape on it, and some portions of the photo had pieces missing. It was truly a challenge and we knew we had to do everything possible to restore this picture since it had an immense sentimental value. We restored the photo in 2 days and she held it in her possession 2 days later, a total of 4 days. Was it worth waiting 4 days? I think you can answer that question yourself. She phoned us when she received the photo and cried for 10 minute on the phone. It's a wonderful thing being paid for something you enjoy doing but it's the smile, happiness, and joy that we experience after presenting our customers with a finished photo restoration that's a priceless memory! |
